Irvin T. (Andy) Andrews III, 59, died peacefully on Jan. 2, 2011, after a valiant year-long battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 14, 1951.

Andy lived most of his life in Houston, but also lived in Mineral Wells, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Bahrain. Andy had a long career in the oil and gas industry, and was employed for over 25 years by Perry Equipment Corporation, where he worked internationally and had many wonderful friends and colleagues. He loved traveling both for business and pleasure, and was fortunate enough to visit places such as China, Australia, Indonesia and India.
Andy was known for his sense of humor, his love of music, and his magic tricks. He loved learning about history, and in recent years developed an interest in cooking and decorating. He designed his own backyard retreat in which he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather (Pops), brother, son, uncle, cousin and friend.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 36 years, Patricia (Pat) Maclaine Andrews; beloved daughters, Jessica Andrews Willis, of Memphis, Tenn., Erica Andrews Maese, of Carrollton, Texas, and Cynthia Andrews, of Birmingham, Ala.; sons-in-law, Lance Willis and Joe Maese; grandsons, Andrew Willis and Quentin Maese; mother, Darlene Meyer; sister, Marcia Mingo; brother, John (Rocky) Andrews; mother-in-law, Mary B. Maclaine; sisters-in-law, Ann Maclaine, Cathryn Andrews and Jeannie Maclaine; brothers-in-law, John Maclaine and David Maclaine; cousins, Debbie, Diane, Robert and Carolyn; and 14 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin T. Andrews Jr.; his father-in-law, Jack A. Maclaine; and his sister, Sandra Andrews Miller.
