Gerald and I met while we were in 3rd grade at Ridgecrest Elementary School. We were in the same Cub Scout pack and Boy Scout Troop. We were close friends through elementary school, junior high, high school and into college. We twice worked for the same employer. It's fair to say that I knew him better than anyone else at SBHS. He was fun, mischievious, compassionate, and intelligent. We lost him in an industrial accident in 1981. I still miss him, as do so many others who knew him.
